Families travel hundreds of kilometers to witness not only the marriage of the bride and groom but also the union of the two families. Durban and Limpopo once again united and allowed me the honour of capturing beautiful moments.Everything about this day fell into place after the weather threatened to halt proceedings as the clouds turned gray. Thankfully, the gods were not in agreement, and they gave us beautiful soft light that all photographers can appreciate!
My focus was to take a photojournalistic approach, as I always do, capturing authentic moments that happened organically. One of the best moments was when the bride's family came together and danced to hit songs like "Soulja Boy"—crank that all the way to Amapiano. It was something I had never seen before, and I was glad I could catch it on camera.
