Casa Real at Ruby Hill Winery Wedding – Pleasanton | Kristin & Memo

We love Kristin & Memo and how they put together everything for their wedding at Casa Real at Ruby Hill Winery.Prior to the wedding, Kristin told me that she would love to do a boudoir session as a gift for herself and a surprise for Memo on the wedding day. To give her time to prepare, we schedule it just 3 weeks before the wedding day. This means I had to run with time to make sure all the images come back in time to make an album. Lots of pressure! But thank God, in the end, it was a success. I love what Kristin has to say about the session: “I am not one to compliment myself but DAMMNN Leo made me look DAMN sexy (LOL).”3 weeks later came the wedding. Although we photographed it for 7 hours, it felt like a 10-hour wedding. The energy was high, there was always something going on. The first part of the day was a little crazy though. But it was for good reasons. While Kristin and her ladies were getting ready in Casa Real’s bridal suite, many friends and family came to see her before everything was done. As you might expect, lots of greetings, huggings, and … interruptions, of course. However, from that, we could tell how much each and every single one of them meant to her. That is what we love about them, their friendships and connections.But back to reality, although we started with “ahead of the schedule” status, it soon changed to “behind the schedule”, and it was not a good thing at all. So, we had to be a little more involved than we usually are, to keep things under control and to finish all critical tasks on time. With Marlena’s great help (she is the coordinator of Casa Real btw), we began to get back on track for the “First Touch + Vodka Shot”, one of Kristin’s special requests. After that everything ran as smoothly as it could be.The speeches were probably another highlight of the day. You should have listened to their amazingly hilarious stories about Kristin & Memo. We really liked Kristin’s uncle speech about how they met each other in two different versions. I think it is always a great and fun idea to ask the couple individually about how they met each other. Quite often, both sides of the story can be really different.
